I'm back and ready to roll

Well I'm sitting at work right now pondering of some things to do and thought maybe I should keep this blog going. So here I am!
Its 10:30am and already 82 outside with the high coming up at a whopping 102! We wanted summer, here it is! The last four or five days it hasn't been cooler than 90. With no air conditioning both in my house and car, it makes for quite a sweaty week. Even better, this weather is going to keep coming for another four or five days. Already we've gone swimming LOTS and spent Monday at the beach. Today, I'm taking off work early to float down the river. Friday is the fair, and Saturday is Wild Waves to cool off some more.

It's been a crazy summer break home. Lots of time with family, friends, and food. I came back from school around April and immediately went on a road trip from Maryland to Idaho. Boy was that a blast! One of my friends from school needed to drive his mustang from his mom's house back to school. I thought, "Jeez, I haven't been east of Utah!" What an experience this was. I bought a one way ticket from Seattle to Baltimore for that next week. Drove through ten states. Saw some cool things (If you have seen the movie Yes Man! - we saw the Telephone Museum!). Ate some crazy food (Finally tried some White Castle burgers). Got lost in downtown Chicago (Note to self and everyone else: DON'T DO THAT!) Listened to some crazy music (My new favorite bands: The Format and Kings of Leon). It took us three days, but we did it!
Work has been hectic this summer. They brought me into a meeting a couple weeks ago threatening to terminate me due to my lack of effort in projects and me failing to do projects correctly. The thing is, I had NO idea that I was doing anything wrong. They let it build and build to this. I was amazed when I left that meeting. When things go wrong it all goes wrong for me. My family has been struggling with my dad being unemployed since March. I didn't want to lose my job either. I have school and an apartment to pay for. With much debating with them, they brought me into another meeting this Monday and apologized for their lack of communication. They told me that I was too valuable of an employee to lose, then closed our meeting telling me they were never serious in terminating me. Wow, give me the stress of losing my job and then tell me you weren't serious. That is NOT okay with me! But, I only have about six weeks left and I'm out of here (other than coming back to work for Christmas break)!! There is no way I am coming back to this place after the hell they put me through once again.
My brother and his family are visiting this week. Chris is over in Japan and Tina and Willa went to go visit him for the summer. It is so nice to have them around. Willa is my pride and joy! I love that kid more than anything. It's been a good two years since I have seen them. Monday we spent the day at the beach. I don't think Willa had really been in the ocean many times before this. She LOVED it! Chris and I would take her out to the water and before she even got in she would have goosebumps. We'd ask her if she was too cold to go in the water or if she wanted to get further in. She kept saying, "Water! Water!" So we brought her into the water til it was at her waist. Although she was freezing, she enjoyed jumping at the waves and playing in the sand. Such a great day we didn't really take pictures.

I got my hair cut last week. 4 inches off! What a different it makes too. I love it! I want to cut off more actually. It was so funny because Jeannie, who normally cuts my hair, told me she was only going to cut off the dead ends because she loves my hair. I had to argue with her to cut off two inches. I wasn't satisfied with the length so I asked for two more inches off. She kept telling me that guys don't like girls with short hair. She told me to talk to my guy friends and see what they said. Both of them responded completely opposite from what she told me. It was quite funny. I'm kinda wanting to cut some more off soon.
Well I have two more online trainings to do before tomorrow and I'm off work in an hour and a half. I promise more posts (with pictures!) soon.

Back to school

Thought I would start up one of these to keep people posted on how I'm doing. First week at Rexburg has been interesting. Met lots of people - Already my first weekend here and I have two dates. One down - one to go. I'm about to go out to dinner with the roommates, but I thought I'd say hello!
